Fast Foodie is a blog for “people on the go”. So, I am going to show you how to do THE FAST FOODIE CHALLENGE while on the run!
It is understood we can’t eat 100% paleo (DUH we’re not cavemen). But if we can give it about 80%, we are really going to see a change in ourselves.
If you are a hyperactive person like me, you are most likely moving around constantly. You always have to have something to do or somewhere to go.
Take this hyperactivity and put it to good use. Research where you are going. If you have dinner reservations, check out the restaurants we page before you go. If you are going to a town you have never been, look up their cities web page. They will have suggestions on where to eat, so you can get an idea for the town and their food scene
*You should do this anyway, not just because we are doing a challenge
“What should I do about planning meals, or making sour of the moment decisions on where to eat?”
IM GLAD YOU ASKED! I’m going to give you some suggestions on what to eat and where to eat while traveling and partaking in the FAST FOODIE CHALLENGE
Three words: BACON AND EGGS!
Skip the griddle items and head in the fresh fruit, roasted tomatoes, or grilled veggies route.
PUT DOWN THAT CREAMER. Try your coffee black… Ok you can have the creamer..
Try a hearty salad, loaded with veggies.
Don’t forget the protein! Try grilled salmon or chicken breast. It will really help keep you going through out the day.
When it comes to dressing, try not to use any. If you need a little something to make it go down easier, try some olive oil.
When you cut out bad foods, you need to replace those bad foods with healthier ones. Try berries, almonds, and beef jerkey…. (EW maybe not beef jerkey)
Get some hearty meat. Try roasted chicken or a good ole steak. You can adventure with your meats. You can eat bison, rabbit, and other unique meats.
Chances are, the restaurant ccan accommodate your needs. Make sure and let the waiter know, at the beginning of the meal, what you can’t eat. They will be able to talk with the chef and come up with a good substitute for you.
